Alright my book nerds, it's time to wrap up our April Book Club Pick - The Storyteller. We will be meeting at Linda's house in Palmdale for this month's meeting on Sunday, May 2 at 11:00 am.
For our in person event, I have ordered a cinnamon babka and chocolate babka from Kossar's Bagels & Bialys located in New York. This bakery has been featured in The New York Times and was declared to have the best bialys in "the entire country" by famed former New York Times food critic Mimi Sheraton in her book: The Bialy Eaters: The Story of a Bread and a Lost World.
If you would like to bring fruit, yogurt, orange juice, or other item that would pair well with the bread feel free to do so. We will be discussing the book and enjoying a brunch together.
For our virtual event, I am working on a virtual tour of a Holocaust museum or a presentation of Jewish Cultural facts and Holocaust facts that will tie into the book along with our usual book discussion.
Be sure to head over to the Monthly Meetings page to RSVP and get the address/link for this month's meetup locations. I can't wait to discuss this book with you all and enjoy a little socializing time with friends and family.
